About The Yorkshire Arboretum
The new Peter Sowerby Building, home to the Tree Health Centre, is a modern facility suited to a range of activities from team building sessions to events to mark special occasions. This unique space in a beautiful setting is available for daytime and evening hire, with in-house catering options, and access to an 120 acre garden of trees. Available all year round but access to the arboretum may be limited during the closed season.

The Yorkshire Arboretum is located on the Castle Howard Estate in the picturesque Howardian Hills, not far from Malton and only 15 miles from York. Ample free parking is available on site. Venue hire is available all year round but during December and January, when the Visitor Centre is closed, there is restricted access to the arboretum.
There's free parking on site and groups and coach parties are welcome by prior arrangement. Free WiFi is available throughout the Visitor Centre. Dogs are very welcome and we have a spacious off-lead area for them to run around in. Electric buggies may be booked in advance to enable those with limited mobility to discover even the most distant reaches of the arboretum.
