The Sun Pavilion is a stunning venue in the heart of Harrogate, it is perfectly situated in the splendour of the Grade II listed Valley Gardens, you’ll be able to enjoy the terrace and beautiful greenery. Surrounded by pure peace and serenity, you can be sure you won’t be disturbed here, it might just be your most stunning conference space yet.

The Sun Pavilion can cater for up to 150 guests for a conference or meeting and we promise a range of delicious, expertly prepared food. Our in-house team will take care of anything in conjunction with our team of chefs and waiting staff; because of this, we do not allow external caterers.

You won’t find packages at The Sun Pavilion, we much prefer to offer a more bespoke service that is tailored to your style, taste and budget. With our in-house team all hands-on deck, you won’t need to worry about a thing.

The Sun Pavilion is licensed for civil ceremonies and has two beautiful ceremony spots for you to choose from. Our terrace provides a stunning summer wedding location, surrounded by the greenery of the Valley Gardens, or you may wish to hold your nuptials inside, under the unrivalled beauty of our stained-glass dome.

The Sun Pavilion has been host to charity events, retirement dinners, and corporate occasions, as well as school proms and unique community events like the Friends of Valley Gardens 1940’s day.

The Sun Pavilion is available for both full and half day hire, which is exclusive use for your event. Exclusive use of the terrace is included in your venue hire but does end at 10.30pm

A Harrogate venue rich in history

The Sun Pavilion, has a long rich history in the town of Harrogate. In 1998 it had a sensitive restoration and was officially re-opened by Queen Elizabeth II and has been a popular choice for weddings ever since.

Many of our couples have commented on the sentimental value the building holds for them, visiting the gardens as a child with past and present family members. We love keeping memories alive and creating new ones that will last another 80 years, and more.
