The Barn at Tan Hill Inn

The Barn at Tan Hill Inn is a warm and welcoming events space with a stage, professional lighting, sound and video facilities. It is tastefully decorated in the spirit of the historic Tan Hill Inn and hosts regular live music events and weddings.

The flexible layout allows clients to customize the space to suit their vision, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere. Tables can be provided for seating or removed if standing is the preferred option. There is a bar, underfloor heating and attractive wood-burning stove.

The Barn can cater for 135 people standing and 80 seated. It also has a break-out ‘VIP’ room which seats 10.

The Barn is at the heart of The Tan Hill Inn, Britain’s highest and most remote pub. One of the unique aspects of the inn is its secluded aspect, sitting on the moors and surrounded by open country.

The inn’s menu offers a variety of options to cater for different tastes and also offers a selection of accommodations for guests, from family suites to a shared bunkhouse and glamping domes.  
 
The inn itself has a rich history, dating back several centuries. Its traditional architecture and interior, with stone walls, beams and fires, reflect its heritage as a meeting point and travellers’ rest. With its long history and place in British pub culture the Inn has been featured many times on TV.
