Walk around inside the building and experience the warmth and welcome of the interior, whether you are in our super-comfortable lounge with grand fireplace, or relaxing in your room.

History

Rudby Hall has a wealth of history in every corner of every room. Built for the youngest daughter of King William IV and Dorothea Jordan in 1838, the Hall astounds with its stories from the past right until the modern day. Anyone interested in Georgian, Regency, Victorian and 20th Century history will find something of interest here within and outside the walls. Marvel at the architectural designs from Anthony Salvin, walk among grounds designed by Lancelot Capability Brown. Stay in rooms originally occupied by Lady Amelia and Lord Falkland. Climb the servants’ staircase to our tower and learn about how the Hall has changed over the centuries, but how it has always been cared for and maintained by generations of custodians.

Facilities

Rudby Hall Hotel was originally built for 19th Century Royalty. The design by renowned architect Anthony Salvin ensured there were grand and opulent spaces to ‘show off’ the place to visitors, with all the necessary service infrastructure, to ensure Lady Amelia and Lord Falkland were suitably accommodated in line with their status. This design has endured through the centuries and now presents as a theatrical backdrop and stage for a wide range of activities, events and experiences. The high ceilings and wooden floors of the drawing room and library are perfect for all manner of events, from corporate away-days to fashion shows. The individually designed rooms and sumptuous bathrooms are each a superb backdrop for photo-shoots and filming. The grounds are secluded and replete with multiple environments including woodland, lawns and riverside locations. The modernised version of Rudby Hall Hotel has many other facilities that are perfect for events, from parking to Wi-Fi, an office, a bar, accessible toilet, a lift and a lounge for informal meetings and break-out sessions.

Experiences

Rudby Hall Hotel has a number of add-on experiences that align with our themes of luxury, serenity and history. The bedrooms themselves are an experience in quiet luxury. The food is an experience of culinary delights. They also offer wellness, lifestyle and spa-packages that are delivered to you on site – in your room, in our function rooms and in our grounds. Book your residential event and they will send you details of available services on the dates you choose. You can select from meditative experiences such as yoga, sound baths, and forest bathing, pamper experiences, facial and massage services, through to more active experiences such as personal training and archery. Fancy learning how to prepare some of the dishes they offer? Cookery demonstrations are available in their large kitchen. History tours are always available, as is the experience of doing nothing at all except relaxing, re-connecting and re-charging.

A culture of Nurture

In a world the celebrates hustle, Rudby Hall Hotel is defining success one deep breath at a time. You are invited you to take a pause at this luxury boutique hotel and embrace rest through a culture of nurture. Here, rest can be productive as you allow your mind to flow quietly through ideas without the every-day noise of life interrupting you. Work can be meaningful without being manic as you take the time you need to reconnect, recharge and reflect. Rudby Hall Hotel will look after you from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave.

Location

Rudby Hall is located on the border of North Yorkshire and the Tees Valley. Easy to access by road, rail and air and conveniently located to both urban and rural communities. Approachable easily from all directions, you will be able to bring together colleagues or friends from across the UK easily. International visitors have only to travel a few miles from Teesside International Airport. Within 10-12 miles of our location, you can access the North York Moors, Teesport, the North Yorkshire coast, the Yorkshire Dales and many of the attractions within those locations are also easily reached.

Reputation

Suze Chomo and Mark Booth are the husband-and-wife team behind the transformation of Rudby Hall into Rudby Hall Hotel. They were handed the keys in December 2024 and since then have worked tirelessly to develop the Hotel’s reputation for exceptional service, event hosting, accommodation and food. This effort has been reflected in amazing reviews and scores for the Hotel, from both domestic and international visitors.

Flexibility

Rudby Hall Hotel is a fine example of a building that can adapt quickly and flexibly to the needs of its inhabitants and customers. There is no long build or lead time required to transition from one event to another – in part due to the relatively compact size of the Hall itself (relative to a convention centre), the ease with which the spaces work for everyone and the infrastructure and flow of the house and its facilities. There are 2 function rooms that can be operated and served either independently or inter-dependently depending on the event. Their  menus can be constructed to fit the needs of your party and we can allow you to bring external caterers and entertainers as required.

Privacy

Ruby Hall Hotel can operate in various guises, including a completely ‘private’ mode where you have exclusive hire of the house and grounds for a few days. This is perfect for companies, families, special interest groups etc who may want to gather in a place where they have the free and unfettered run of the house and grounds. The Hall is naturally a private space with gated access, screening by trees and woodland and unobstructed views.
