Haddock Hideaway’s historic building and stunning sea views offers a unique meeting venue and event space with accommodation and home cooked food using local suppliers. If you are looking for a venue to immediately put your clients or guests at ease, we may be the place for you. Whether you are looking for a location for a small meeting or to organise an event for forty we will be here to help you.

Flexible event space & meeting rooms

We have three inter linking rooms available all located on the ground floor. Together they allow us to cater for forty people but can offer smaller groups flexibility.

The Snug

Located overlooking the garden the snug can be booked for between 2-4 people and offers a relaxed cosy atmosphere.  It can be booked individually whilst the hotel is open on a half or full day rate, and you will have full access to all the hotels facilities while you are with us. Interconnecting doors separate it off from Room 101.

Room 101

Overlooking the sea with a small bar Room 101 offers seating for up to 16 people in an informal setting.  Ideal for meeting up with friends, group discussions, workshops and presentations. It can also be booked with the snug opening it up to 20 people.

The Cadbury Room

Next to Room 101 and off the main entrance The Cadbury room offers seating for 18 people with Sea views.  If you have exclusive use of Haddock Hideaway it offers additional seating or ideal classroom and break out space for corporate events.

All rooms flow nicely to create space to mingle whilst enjoying the character of the building.  Situated just minutes from the beach also provides ample opportunity for walks on the beach.

Accommodation & Catering

Haddock Hideaway can comfortably accommodate 20 people in our ten ensuite bedrooms, based on double occupancy and up to 25 including our family/ larger rooms. We can be booked on an exclusive use basis creating a special place for celebration, however, if you are looking for a smaller booking, we are more than happy to welcome you too. We are the perfect venue for corporate training, family get-togethers, walking groups, or just meeting up with friends. We also have connections with other accommodation providers in the immediate area if you are looking to accommodate more or would prefer single occupancy.

All our communal rooms are available throughout your stay, and the well-stocked bar, located within Room 101, has a wonderful selection of local lagers, beers, wines & spirts. Breakfast is prepared freshly each morning and available in your choice of room which can be quickly prepared for the day’s activities. Refreshments are available throughout the day, including tea, coffee and homemade cakes. We can also help your arrange lunch, evening meal or just a light snack depending on your needs.   Buffets are either offered through in house catering or delivered from local supplier to suit your needs, and we can even help you arrange an evening meal out to facilitate a change of scene. Alternatively, we can put you in touch with a local chef who will come in a create a bespoke menu just for you.

Custom packages

If you like the idea of hosting your next event with sweeping sea views in a grade II listed building, then why not get in touch.   We offer anything from a couple of hours in our snug for private meetings or interviews up to the exclusive use of the place.  We are also happy to work with other providers in the area to create a bespoke package for you.

Access & Location

Haddock Hideaway is located on Queen’s Parade overlooking Scarborough’s stunning North Bay. Set in the heart of Scarborough but tucked away from the hustle and bustle, we offer easy access to the town centre and North York Moors.

• Approximately 10 minutes’ walk to Scarborough town centre and Scarborough train station

• Direct rail connections from Scarborough to York, Hull, Manchester and Leeds

• Easily accessible by foot or taxi from the station

• On-street parking available for all guests with small carpark for access.
